Exciting ASUS and Republic of Gamers Development For Better Storytelling

There is nothing like preserving memories by taking photos, recording videos, and editing them into stories.

If you guys are on Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and Facebook, you would know that we love taking videos and photos of our experiences.

My Fascination For The Visual
Personally, I have been fascinated with video since, and at a time when cable TV was popular and I would watch MTV and HBO all day.  Films and videos were my life.  A story told and interpreted thru song and visuals were what fascinated me.

I started painting at a young age too.  A visual artist who recreated realities and “surrealities" in framed canvasses with coloured tubes of paint lying about.

All of these were my norm up until I became an adult.  I finished a communications course developing short films and videos for classes, as well as designing and edited a lot of graphics.

In short, I am a very visual person.

Visuals are what capture moments and preserve the authenticity of stories.

And I am not alone believing this.  Proof is the many people whose stories reach more thru visuals.

Beauty That Also Captures Beauty
You want details?  92 megapixels can be captured when taking a phone on the ASUS Zenfone Deluxe at Super Resolution mode.  Super HD!  This would be great to take portraits, flatlays, and landscapes while holding it firmly in the palm of your hand.

The hyperfine sandblasted surface of this “all-aluminum-alloy” with invisible-antenna design looks and feels solid in the hands.

And the very small 1.3mm frame around the 5.7-inch display on this phone promises to prioritise the user’s satisfaction for visuals.

The Best Thing That Happened To FB LIVE
Imagine my excitement when I found out this phone has an 8MP wide angle front camera.  My initial reaction?  “Perfect for selfies and self videos. Crispier fb live videos!”

If I were to host more @mudbyshaun live sessons on facebook, videos would look even better (provided that I have a very good connection too of course).

Sharing makeup tutorials and beauty tips on facebook live while using the front camera is my only option to be able to see myself while filming and check the comments of people watching while the facebook live is ongoing.
ASUS Continues to excite the lovers of the visual in this era and that is a lot of us.

Editing Stories Are Faster On Powerful Computers
Stories, Makeup Tutorials, Collages and vlogs have to be different lengths in different platforms because of the different types of audiences.  Editing is faster when done on a very fast computer device that you can bring around easier.

ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) on their 10th birthday showcased their newly-released line of gaming laptops or (in my world) mobile workstations and l felt lucky to be there with the CDO Bloggers.

Last December 1, 2016, in Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City, we witnessed and felt the power of the newest line of laptops and desktops from the Number 1 Gaming Laptop Brand Worldwide (source GFK 2015).

From features like Skylake 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processors, 6GB NVIDIA Graphics Cards, to whopping 64GB RAM for crisp and smooth use of the computer during videos and even multiple window browsers, these sweet machines could be a person’s life changer.

There are more features on their different laptops and desktops released by Republic of Gamers.

My Choice Between ROG GL502 and ROG G752 Is The Former
Both models have basic units priced at P99,995 and next upgrades are at an additional of P55,000 max.

Juggling with my theatre work, I am also a Filipino creative who blogs and vlogs about makeup, theatre, food, travel, and living the creative life in three different websites.  I also dabble on Photoshop, Premiere, Sony Vegas, and Illustrator.

So if I was to buy myself the best suited laptop, I would pick the ROG Strix GL502 with the 15.6 inch display, 6GB GDDR5 Graphics card, and 16GB DDR4 because although I am used to big screens, that I love. I noticed with my old 17-inch 2008 Pro series “A”-brand Laptop before, I had difficulty bringing it around as I am a small girl at 5’2”.

The RAM on both units are tied at 16GB with the ROG G752 having two 8GB RAM and the ROG Strix GL502 with one 16GB RAM.

But not only that,  if I were to pick between getting a bigger display laptop (on the ROG G752 and the better Graphics card (double actually) on the ROG Strix GL502, I would pick the better Graphics card and the “monstrous performance” with the portability.

So that is why my pick is the ROG Strix GL502.

This is just my opinion though. My partner would probably pick the ROG G752 for the screen and he doesn’t mind the doubled weight.

What do you think? Which would be your pick?

Germz Nabua, Shaun Pilapil (myself), and Nerrick Cortez, in behalf of the CDO Bloggers, would like to thank ASUS for inviting us to the showcase of the newest Republic of Gamers powerful computers.
If you would like to check the ASUS units in Cagayan de Oro, you can visit the ASUS Concept Store located in Centrio Ayala Mall, Corrales Street, Cagaynan de Oro City.
